The Amazing Oliver

The Monday after Thanksgiving, I received an email obit from a nursing class mate of mine from PGH "1975".  This member requested that we make donations to an animal foundation.  She had breast cancer.  I adopted Oliver.  He had just been posted on Adopt a pet.  He had been given up by his first adoptive mother after living with her and his sibling, for 2 years.  She had developed a serious health problem. He and his sibling had been found wandering in DC on 9/2/09.  Sick, undernourished, heart  worm positive, he is a Standard Poodle or a Komondor.  He has web feet, so I believe he is a SP.  He has the personality too.  He was adopted out and now back "on the streets".  Not for long.  only a few hours before I adopted him and picked him up the next day in Arlington, Va.  He is a total love.  He was a Christmas gift to me.
